Lip Blushing

What is Lip Blushing?

Lip blushing is a semi-permanent tattoo that can enhance the color and shape of your lips and give the impression of more fullness. This is done by depositing color ink into your lips and along your lip line to improve the overall look. The color is subtle to give natural-looking results

Who get's Lip Blushing?

Anyone can be a good candidate for lip blushing.

Why get Lip Blushing?

With Lip Blushing, your results will leave you with a full, vibrant look that defines lip definition. As we age, we lose color pigmentation. That is a thing of the past, post-procedure.

Some client's prefer lip filler to add dramatic volume, but Lip Blushing gives a more natural result for enhanced  beauty. Your new blushed lips lasts lasts 2-3 years before needed a touchup.

Lip Neutralizing

What is Lip Neutralizing?

It is a cosmetic tattoo process of cancelling out darkness in lips to an even neutral tone. Darkness in lips is more common with people who have more melanin rich skin typically found in Fitzpatrick 3-6.

How is it different from lip blushing?

It is the same exact process but could take a little longer depending on how dark the lips are. For those that have drastic darkness/contrast tones in their lips multiple appointments may be necessary.

**A CONSULTATION IS ALSO REQUIRED SO YOU UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS AND ARE MADE AWARE OF REALISTIC RESULTS!**

    Before You Book

    PLEASE READ

    • A consultation is required and during that you will be informed about the procedure and what you can expect but it always a good thing to do your own research as well and come with questions/concerns!

    • Some lips may have too much contrast in lightness and darkness to achieve an even tone.

    • If you ever even ONCE in your life have had a cold sore or fever blister it is EXTREMELY important you take antiviral medications 5 days prior and 5 days after procedure to prevent pigment loss to your tattoo!

    • If your lips have wrinkles it is recommended to get lip injections 2 months prior to your appointment to smooth out the wrinkles. The pigment can sit in the wrinkle and heal striped.

    • Darkness/lightness/unevenness is likely to occur during the 6 weeks they are healing since melanin rich skin is more susceptible to hyper/hypopigmentation but they will even out once fully healed at 6 weeks!

    Is There Downtime?

Full disclosure, this process takes a full 6 weeks to see the results. You will have bright colored lips for the first few days then after the scabbing is done your lips will vary in color all the way up to 6 weeks, some may experience hyperpigmentation (darkening) or hypopigmentation (lightening with brightness) that will change week to week as this is the skins natural response to trauma but will even out once fully healed.

    ACTIVE hyper/hypo Pigmentation

These are examples of “worst case scenarios” hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation (not any of my work) but there is no way of telling how skin will react to trauma. People can experience these types of active hyper/hypopigmentation during the healing process and it can be scary, BUT this is a normal response to trauma in melanin rich skin types. It will be temporary and even out once FULLY healed at 6 weeks!

    Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@rejuvepod.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Lip tattoos will fade after 2-5 years depending on your skin and lifestyle. Touch-ups are necessary to maintain the longevity and overall beauty of your tattoo. If you have oily skin, an iron deficiency, or a very strong immune system, your pigment will not last as long and will not heal as crisp as others. Wearing sunscreen is highly recommended as the UV rays will cause the pigment to lighten and fade faster. Salt water and chlorine can also cause the pigment to lighten faster as well.

Initial appointments are $450 and all touchup appointments after within 16 weeks are $150.

A “perfecting session” is almost always necessary for any cosmetic tattoo procedure as the facial skin sheds significantly more than body skin, this would be your first touchup appointment 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment.

With darker, more contrasting lips, a third touchup appointment can also be required.
